A Standing Ovation
He may be a member of the hated Boston Red Sox, but a standing ovation is in order for pitcher Jon Lester. Last night he went 6 innings to beat the Cleveland Indians. It really didn't matter that he won. What mattered was he was out there.
Last August, Lester was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He last pitched for Boston on August 23, and endured 6 rounds of chemotherapy. In December, he was declared cancer free.
