Montero in SAL Home Run Derby

Charleston RiverDogs catcher Jesus Montero has been selected to participate in this year's South Atlantic League home run derby, held as part of the league's All-Star gala tomorrow evening in Greensboro, N.C..

Montero is 10th in the league in batting with a robust .348 average with 7 home runs and 47 RBI. The latter is tied for 7th in the SAL.
