Indians Trying to Keep C.C.
Ed Price of the Star Ledger is reporting that the Cleveland Indians are making one last effort to sign their ace C.C. Sabathia to a long term contract. That according to a major league executive familiar with the situation.
Negotiations on a new deal broke down during spring training and Sabathia said he did not want to negotiate during the season. He's believe to be looking for a deal similar to the 6-yr, $137.5 million contract Johan Santana received from the Mets.
