Journeyman

No, not Jessie Orosco. The NBC sci-fi show that appears to be doomed. When we first heard about "Journeyman", we figured, another "Quantum Leap". Why do we need another one? The first couple of episodes did nothing to change our minds. But then the show got better, week by week, until now...and its being cancelled.

Unfortunately, that's the way TV goes. A well written, well acted show will lose out to some piece of garbage that features some diseased skank looking for a boyfriend, or two drunken, California narcissists arguing about who is hotter.

The bridge from the World Series to Spring Training is getting to be a rougher one than the bridge to Mariano Rivera. With the writer's strike, shows have run out of episodes and we are getting hit with an onslaught of trash not seen since the last garbage strike in NYC.

Journeyman, for one, deserves a better chance. Monday night at 10 is probably not the best, but not the worst, time slot. And people probably think "Quantum Leap" like we did and don't bother watching. That's a mistake. If you watch the show, we think you'll enjoy it. Of course, unless the write-in campaigns to NBC changes their mind on the impending doom of the show, it won't matter anyway.
