Wedge, Melvin take Manager Honors
Cleveland's Eric Wedge and Arizona's Bob Melvin have won the AL and NL manager of the year awards. Wedge won easily over Mike Scioscia and Joe Torre. Terry Francona, whose team won the World Series, finished a distant 4th.
Melvin finished well ahead of our pick, Charlie Manuel, as helped guide the Diamondbacks to 1st place in the NL East. Clint Hurdle, who guided the Rockies to a pennant, finished 3rd.
