Breaking News: Yankees Acquire Nick Swisher from White Sox
ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick is reporting that the Yankees have acquired outfielder/1st baseman Nich Swisher from the Chicago White Sox for minor league pitcher Jeff Marquez. Fox's Ken Rosenthal also reported the Yankees received Class AA right-hander Kanekoa Texeira. Not quite the Teixeira we were all hoping for.
Swisher gives the Yankees the option of playing him regularly in centerfield or at first base.
Update: 4:35 PM - The Yankees have also included Wilson Betemit as part of the deal. To which we say, "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

Nick Swisher?
Isn't he the guy whose bat snapped at the handle when Wang struck out in U.S. Cellular Field this season?
And I can't help wondering what Ozzie plans to do with Betemit.
BTW, what I want is "the Flyin' Hawaiian", Cash, not any random boy who happens to be Hawaiian.
