Improbable seems to be the word to use around here lately. Yesterday's Scranton Yankees game was pretty improbable. Kei Igawa threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball to lead Scranton over the Syracuse Chiefs 3-0. Brett Gardner enjoyed a 2-hit, 2 RBI, 1 stolen base day.

The Charleston RiverDogs nearly made a perfect day for the Yankees and their minor league affiliates. The RiverDogs came back from a 4-1 deficit before falling to the Savannah Sand Gnats, 5-4 in 13 innings. The RiverDogs got sloppy in the final frame and paid for it. Ryan Zink's 2nd consecutive strikeout was also a wild pitch allowing the eventual winning run to reach base. Brad Suttle's also made a throwing error in the inning. Jesus Montero hit his 7th home run of the season and Brandon Laird added 3 hits.
