Brosius Lead Linfield Comes up Short

Scott Brosius' 1st year as head coach of Linfield College didn't end with a dramatic 9th inning home run ala Brosius, but with a 1-2 finish in the NCAA Division III College World Series.

Linfield won their opening round game this past Friday, 5-1 over U. of Wisconsin-Whitewater, but things went downhill from there.

The Wildcats lost a pair of one run games to Trinity (Conn.) College and Adrian College of Michigan on Saturday and Sunday. Trinity will face Johns Hopkins in the finals.

Linfield, which won the Northwest Conference and the Central Region, finished at 35-13.
