After originally stating that he would keep his #65 this season, Phil Hughes has had a change of heart. He revealed his intentions on his website, though he hasn't selected (been given) a new number just yet.Our suggestion? #19 to follow in the footsteps of previous successful Yankees hurlers, Bob Turley, Dick Tidrow, and Dave Righetti.

I think Hughes prefers numbers that end in 5.
5 - Joe DiMaggio
15 - Thurman Munson
25 - Jason Giambi (next year, Phil!)
35 - Mike Mussina (ditto)
45 - the greatest Italian-American Yankee of all time, Carl Pavano
55 - Hideki Matsui
65 - Phil Hughes
Maybe he'll just take 50?
