Verlander Throws 2nd No-No

Verlander faced the minimum 3 batters in 6 of the 9 innings to up his record to 7-2. The reigning AL Rookie of the Year threw 112 pitches, 73 of them for strikes. He lowered his ERA to 2.79 in the process.
Verlander joins the White Sox Mark Buehrle, who performed the feat against Texas on April 18, as the only pitchers in the majors with a no-hitter this season.
Morris had no-hit the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park in front of a national TV audience on the NBC's game of the week, April 7, 1984.
The Brewers were last no-hit by the Twins' Scott Erickson on April 27, 1994. It was the first no-hitter thrown in Detroit since the Angels' Nolan Ryan blanked the Tigers in 1973.
