Put Up or Shut Up
Here we go again, again...the Yankees and Red Sox meet for yet another 3 game series this weekend. This feeling of playing a team every other day is usually reserved for the Devil Rays, but there's a whole lot more on the line with these guys.
Here are the pitching match ups.
Friday - Chien-Ming Wang vs. Tim Wakefield
Saturday - Mike Mussina vs. Curt Schilling
Sunday - Andy Pettitte vs. Josh Beckett
Unfortunately, Saturday's game is on FOX, which means you will have to listen to Joe AssBuck mention the Yankees payroll again, and again, and again. Why? Yes, because he's a dick. Tim McCarver's issues don't have to be repeated here again.
And then Sunday night, you've got the ever growing clown show with John Miller and Joe Morgan on ESPN. Miller was a great announcer, and maybe he still is when he's not on the national spotlight. But the ESPN telecast has turned into a circus with Miller constantly trying to be a goof, and Morgan playing the role of Mr. self righteous.
The Yankees don't think/aren't hoping its the case, but Jason Giambi could be done for the season with his torn arch. They've brought up Kevin Thompson, which really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's great for the kid to be back in the majors, but how is he going to offset the offensive loss? Sure, Shelly Duncan isn't the next best thing, but why not find out if he can do a Shane Spencer imitation for a while.

Because then we'd have three first basemen. I know Duncan plays RF because Eric Duncan plays first, but I'm sure he's not very good in the outfield.
He can just DH like roid boy.
